Ticket, transportation and lodging: $100. A nearly 8 hour bus trip and chance to see the University of South Dakota play a Big Ten contender: priceless.
The Student Government Association is sponsoring a bus for students to have the opportunity to see USD play the University of Wisconsin Madison Badgers Saturday, Sept. 24.
SGA president Collin Michels said the Athletic Department had an allotted number of tickets available for the game, so the SGA decided to purchase some tickets to give students a chance to attend.
“It’s to provide students an opportunity to go and see the game and support our football team, especially now that we’ve moved to Division I and are playing opponents like Washington,” Michels said. “It’s going to be a fun environment for our this.”
Freshman Sara Anderson, an Evansville, Wis. native, the bus trip is a great way to not only see a Coyote football game but make it back home.
“It would cost me over $200 personally just to get to Wisconsin,” she said. “This way it gets me there, gives me a place to stay, food and a ticket.”
