GUEST SUBMISSION: Student input wanted at SGA

The Student Government Association will be considering a Smoking Ban Resolution at its Tuesday, Nov. 15 meeting.

The Smoking Ban Resolution calls for a campus-wide smoking ban. If passed, the resolution would recommend a change to the current policy, which prohibits smoking within 25 feet of any building entryway.

Dr. Van Peursem of the math department will also be presenting information and statistics about Math Emporium.  Math Emporium is a collaborative effort of multiple departments on campus to help struggling students succeed in mathematics.

The Student Government Association wants students to understand how to succeed in the Emporium required math classes, and Dr. Van Peursem will be presenting information concerning this issue.

Student feedback regarding these issues, as with all issues, is strongly encouraged, and students will be allowed to voice their concerns and opinions at the meeting.

The next SGA meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 15  at 6:30 p.m., and will be held in MUC room 216. SGA appreciates student feedback and thanks all those who will attend the Nov. 15 meeting.
