Q&A: Pinkelman has fridge full of milk

EDITOR’S NOTE: Each week The Volante sports staff will interview a member of the USD athletic community and ask them off-the-wall questions. Enjoy the hilarity.

Chad Pinkelman, a senior jumper from Norfolk, Nebraska, competes in three jumping events for the University of South Dakota men’s track and field program.

Pinkelman, a business management major, is ranked in the top-10 in the Summit League so far this indoor season in both the triple and high jumps.

He also earned two All-Great West Conference honors for the Coyotes last outdoor season.

He holds personal records of 47’11” in the triple jump, 22’11” in the long jump, and 6’7″ in the high jump.

Jilanne Doom: What is the one sports team you will always cheer against no

CP: Simba, King of the Jungle.

JD: If you had to choose one store to spend all your money at, where would it be?

CP: Wal-Mart because they have everything.

JD: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see play the lead role as you?

CP: My man-crush, Johnny Depp.

JD: What is your favorite part of track practice?

JD: What was the last movie you went to and how was it?

CP: ‘Contraband’, and it was pretty good.

JD: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

CP: An architect.

JD: How would you describe yourself in three words?

CP: Pretty. Freakin’.

Awesome.

JD: If I looked in your refrigerator right now, what would I find?

CP: A lot of milk. Some chocolate milk. Just lots and lots of milk.

JD: What is your favorite sport to play other than track?

CP: Basketball.

JD: What is your favorite pick-up line?

CP: There’s a reason I’ve never had a Valentine. It’s because I don’t have good enough pick-up lines.

JD: What is the most annoying thing your roommate can do to you?

CP: They stay up until like 6 a.m., all the time.

JD: Who inspires you most?

CP: My parents.
