Campus celebrates cultural awareness

International Education Week will kick off at the University of South Dakota Sept. 24 with an international forum entitled “Global Warming: The Evidence Is In.”

The forum will be held at noon in Farber Hall inside Old Main and will be followed by a potluck lunch hosted by the International Student Club at USD’s St. Thomas More Newman Center.

Other activities for International Education Week, which runs Sept. 24-28, include a performance by the Caribbean Steel Drum Group at noon Sept. 26 in the Muenster

University Center.

The Global Learning and Engagement Fair, which will feature study abroad and National Student Exchange presentations and panel discussions with study abroad and faculty-led program student alumni, will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 25 in the Muenster University Center Ballroom.

The Global Palate and Photo Contest Display will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 25 in the Muenster University Center Ballroom. The Global Palate is a free food event featuring appetizer-style dishes from around the world.

The goal of International Education Week is to broaden international and cultural awareness on campus.
