VERMILLION POLICE LOG: October 3

Sept. 27

1. Officers encountered a drunk driver near the 10 block of Center St. A 23-year-old Sioux City man was arrested and charged with DWI.

2. Police caught a 22-year-old male urinating in public at the 10 block of Elm St. Male was charged with public disorderly conduct.

3. Department received a call of public disturbance at the 100 block of Carr St. Officer identified three juveniles lighting off fireworks at a residence, no charges were made.

4. VPD Paramedic assisted in an outside agency at the 800 Block of N. Plum St. in Mickelson Hall. A male patient had a seizure in a stairwell in Mickelson Hall. VPD had no further information on incident.

Sept. 29

5. Officers arrested a 21-year-old male for DWI at the 1000 block of N. Dakota St. Two adult minors also in the vehicle were cited for underage consumption of alcohol but were not arrested.

Sept. 30

6. Police responded to a report of domestic disturbance in a residence located at 833 East Duke. A 32-year-old male was arrested for aggravated assault of a female. Suspect was also charged with interference with emergency communication. Female victim did not require medical attention.
