USD players ready to roll Saturday

EDITOR’S NOTE: This week The Volante chose to do something different in respect to the upcoming USD football game against SDSU. We interviewed both head coaches in order to get an inside look on how their team is preparing for Saturday’s game.

Grant Bosiacki: What is the biggest difference in South Dakota State this year compared to last year?

Joe Glenn: They were awfully good at defense last year. They’re really good this year but all the new starters would be the biggest difference.

GB: What has surprised you most about SDSU this year?

JG: They’ve been giving up some sacks this year, and that’s something I think we’re pretty good at. We’ll have to get some pressure on the quarterback.

GB: How are the players feeling leading up to this game?

JG: They’ll be ready. This is our in-state rival, and it’s the biggest rival we’ve got.  That’s exciting.

GB: How do you anticipate the Dome will be on Saturday?

JG: Pandemonium. It will be really good. Lots of cheering and booing, and I’m just hoping everyone uses good judgment. You can go ahead and cheer for your respective team. I just hope people aren’t throwing things on the field, and things like that.

GB: What does this game mean for alumni?

JG: This is for all the bragging rights. There are Coyote and Jackrabbit fans all over, so it’s going to be a lot of fun.
