VERMILLION POLICE LOG: December 12

1. A report of a missing person originated from a residence near the 200 block of Roosevelt St. A developmentally disabled adult was reported missing by family members. Officers searched throughout Vermillion and outskirts of town without result. 15 hours after search began, family members located person safe and sound.

2. Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence near the 100 block of Catalina St. A husband allegedly assaulted his wife following a domestic incident. The 30-year-old Vermillion male was arrested on simple assault charges. Victim did not require serious medical attention.

3. A 26-year-old Vermillion female reported a public disturbance in her neighborhood. Three teenagers were throwing snowballs at multiple passing vehicles along the 200 block of Center St. Officers were out on a traffic call and were unable to respond before the teens left area. No suspects were identified and no serious damage was done to any of vehicles.

4. Asset protection at Wal-Mart reported over 200 dollars worth of stolen merchandise. Incident occurred in absence of asset protection staff. No suspects have been identified.
