Affectionately called “Verm” by college students, the town of Vermillion SD has seen many people walk its riverfront in the past. Some people call graffiti a form of art and others call it a crime. While the artist/criminal is unknown the art/crime stands the test of time on this piece of concrete.

Railroad Tracks
Once America’s main form of transportation, railroads connected the East to the West. The rail road seen above was built in Vermillion in 1872 by the Dakotan Southern Railroad Company and is still active today.
