South Dakota Redesigns Government Accountability Website

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The Bureau of Finance and Management has overhauled the state’s government transparency website to help people access financial information more easily.

The governor’s office says the bureau expects the update to make it easier to add more functionality in the future. The office says the website is friendly for mobile devices.

The website was created in 2008 to help the public get access to state fiscal information. For example, users can search for vendor payments and government contracts.
