Volleyball falls 1-3 to Omaha

The USD volleyball team didn’t go down without a fight Friday night.

The Coyotes took on the University of Omaha Mavericks in the DakotaDen for Fan Appreciation night, the first of three home games USD will play in the next five days.

In set one they lost by the wide margin of 15-25, but came back to play a tug-of-war match with the Mavericks for the remainder of the game.

They battled to win the second set 26-24, but lost the last two sets with the identical results of 22-25.

Junior Audrey Reeg led the Coyotes in scoring, tallying 14 kills and sophomore Brittney Jessen came up with 20 digs.

The Coyotes will take on North Dakota State Univesity tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
