Stick it out: Why staying at USD is worth it

Throughout my life, I was constantly told there was a perfect college out there for everyone, you just had to find it.

I was told that somewhere out there was a college that had everything I needed and wanted.

Newsflash: That’s absolutley not true. I can’t imagine there are many people out there who found a college that had everything they wanted.

While you don’t need to find that “perfect” college, you do need to find a place that you can get a great education at an affordable cost, while still being happy and having a good time.

USD is that school for me, and here’s why it should be for you, too.

Asside from the fact that the cost of going to school here is so inexpensive compared to a vast majority of universities in the nation, USD has many other great qualities.

One of my favorite things about USD is the big college feel in a small town. The small size of Vermillion allows for students to walk anywhere they need to in a maximum of 15 minutes.

The town revolves around the university, and it’s very easy to meet people from USD and get the college experience.

For those that prefer big cities, two much larger cities are less than an hour away. Sioux City, I.A. is less than 30 minutes away, while Sioux Falls is less than an hour away.

While you can travel for a fun weekend, USD has so much to offer within its campus.

With more than 100 majors to choose from, USD offers many programs that can prepare any student for their future. Academics, sports, clubs, organizations and the constant activities planned by USD students make it a great place to attend school.

While USD may not be the No. 1 school in the nation, it’s a school that offers a great education at an affordable price.

Even if it seems like the grass is greener elsewhere, USD  is a school where anyone succeed and thrive.

So stick it out, and get a degree from USD.
