The Coyotes would begin to mount their comeback in the 4th quarter down 28-14.

After a forcing a 3-and-out, the Coyotes gained possession and charged into Bison territory. However, after having 1st-and-5 on the NDSU 20-yard line, they would be stopped for a 4-yard loss on a run by Michael Fredrick.

Following the loss came three straight incompletions by Streveler looking for the end zone.

Once the Bison gained possession they never looked back and moved the chains on a critical 3rd-and-2 to waste the final five minutes on the clock and take the win.

The Bison finished their regular season with at least a part of its sixth straight Missouri Valley Football Conference championship, while the Coyotes finished their season 4-7, missing the playoffs.
