Product review: Rapid Ramen Cooker an easy alternative for college students

The first thing that usually comes to mind at the mention of ramen noodles is a stereotypical college student. Ramen is a cheap meal that’s relatively easy to make.

But as a college student, time is a valuable thing, so sometimes making ramen can be a struggle, especially living in the dorms.

Rapid Ramen Cooker has a solution to this problem. Dubbed the “World’s Fastest and Easiest Way to Cook Ramen Noodles” right on the package, Rapid Ramen Cooker is perfect for the average hungry college student.

Simply place the noodles in the bowl, fill the water up to the line, then microwave for three minutes. This bowl cuts down the wait for the water to boil.

It also reduces the amount of sodium in ramen because, unlike cooking ramen on the stove, only one cup of water is required, so only half of the seasoning packet is required. Save that seasoning for later!

Put into action

I was very excited to try this product because I’ve always loved ramen noodles, but ever since coming to college I’ve had to use Cup Noodles.

Now don’t get me wrong, Cup Noodles are great, however, I prefer the iconic square packaged ramen instead.

So, I picked up some ramen and tried out this so-called “fastest ramen cooker.” I followed the directions and placed the noodles and water in the bowl and set the microwave for three minutes.

Once the ramen was finished, I removed the bowl and placed half a packet of seasoning in and stirred it around. To my surprise, it tasted just like I had made it on the stove. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the seasoning wasn’t overwhelming at all.

I think this is a very practical item for college students. It’s super convenient for making ramen, and at $3.97, it won’t break the bank, either. I’ll certainly be using my Rapid Ramen Cooker in the future for all my ramen needs.

I would recommend this product to anyone who loves ramen. It is quick and easy, and just as good as if making ramen on the stove top.
