Austin Lammers: What’s the coolest venue you’ve played volleyball in?

Hayley Dotseth: I would definitely say the University of Hawaii’s arena. Their fans just really love volleyball and even when our team made good plays they’d cheer for us. It was pretty epic.

AL: Do you know exactly what your vertical is?

HD: We’ve been wearing belts that measure how hard we’re landing and stuff like that. I’ve seen that I jumped almost 24 inches one time.

AL: Do you think you could dunk?

HD: Do I think I could dunk? Absolutely not. No. Nowhere near.

AL: If you could hypothetically dunk, who on the team would you most want to dunk on?

HD: I’d probably dunk over Emily (Grathoff) because that’d be pretty sick. She’s pretty tall so that would make me feel good about myself.

(Grathoff is six-foot-three-inches tall)

AL: What motivated you to create an Instagram page for your cat, Oliver?

HD: I kept taking these really cute pictures of him and I was sending them to my parents and all my friends anyway, so I thought ‘these people are probably getting annoyed with me, I’ll just start an Instagram for him and they can see him on their own time.’
