Vermillion Fire EMS was called to Norton Hall Monday afternoon for a small fire on the first floor of the hall.

The sprinkler system was set off and the hall was being evacuated as the Fire Department and University Police arrived. There was an active fire on the first floor when responders arrived. Fire personnel extinguished the fire after ensuring all residents were out of the hall.
