79-year-old Rapid City Man Dies From Injuries In Home Fire

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — Authorities in Rapid City say a 79-year-old man has died from injuries sustained during a house fire.

Crews responded to the home about 7:30 p.m. Thursday and found smoke pouring out of the house. They were able to pull the man out of the home and transport him to a local hospital, but he died later from smoke inhalation.

The man’s name has not been released pending notification of relatives.

The cause is under investigation.
