Cold Weather Forecast To Return To The Dakotas This Weekend
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Dakotas are getting a brief break from bitter cold before it settles in again for the weekend.
High temperatures Friday were forecast to reach from the teens in northeastern North Dakota to the 40s throughout much of South Dakota.
The warm spell is just a few days after overnight temperatures plunged to as low as minus 40 degrees in the northeastern North Dakota city of Grand Forks.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a return to colder weather this weekend. Highs in northeastern North Dakota are not expected to rise above 10 degrees below zero. Northeastern South Dakota also could see high temperatures below zero on Sunday.
