Letters to the editor must be submitted by the Friday prior to publication at 5 p.m. They may be emailed to [email protected], dropped off in person at The Volante office located in the northwest corner of the Al Neuharth Media Center, mailed to The Volante at 555 N. Dakota St. Vermillion, SD or submitted on volanteonline.com

All letters must be signed and include a reference to USD or Vermillion as well as the writer’s hometown. Letters must also must be limited to 300 words and include a telephone number where the writer may be reached.

Letters may be edited for space as well as for libelous and obscene language.
