Police Investigating Break-ins At Sioux Falls Businesses
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls police are investigating after two local businesses were burglarized over the weekend.
The owner of Spencer Furniture & Floors says she arrived at the business Monday morning and found cash, merchandise and a moving truck had been stolen. She says a significant amount of items were stolen, and nothing like this has happened before in 10 years at the location.
The Argus Leader ( ) reports an employee also discovered the break-in at Gustaf’s Greenery on Monday morning. The owner of the flower shop says the thieves only got away with about $30 and a couple of broken cellphones.
She says she started keeping cash off-site following a break-in last year, but the burglars probably thought they could find lots of money there after Valentine’s Day.
