SD Public Broadcasting Raising Money For New Remote Truck
VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — The state-owned television network that broadcasts high school activities and statehouse coverage is raising money for a new mobile production truck.
South Dakota Public Broadcasting says it needs to replace its old recreational vehicle that’s a decade old and fitted with outdated standard-definition technology.
A new truck capable of broadcasting in high definition will cost about $733,000.
Friends of SDPB hopes to raise 3,000 of that by summer and then tap its capital improvements budget for the rest.
