Sioux Falls Police Arrest 3 Teens In Stolen SUV At School
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Police say three Sioux Falls teenagers accused of stealing an SUV and driving around the city recklessly were arrested after they dropped off a 10-year-old boy at school.
Police spokesman Sam Clemens says a woman called police Tuesday morning to report her 2001 Land Rover Discovery was missing. Police had already received a report of a similar car driving recklessly on the city’s east side.
Officers found the SUV and followed it to Garfield Elementary. Police say a 10-year-old boy got out of the Land Rover and went to school.
Officers moved in and found two 14-year-old girls and a 13-year-old boy in the SUV. All three were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
The 10-year-old was not charged and is believed to be related to one of the girls.
