Sioux Falls Superintendent Position Narrowed To 6 Candidates
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls School District officials have selected six finalists in their search for a new superintendent.
The Argus Leader ( ) reports the candidates in the running to replace current schools chief Pam Homan will be interviewed by school board members this week. Homan is scheduled to retire at the end of the school year.
Ted Blaesing, a Twin Cities-based consultant hired by the board, says nearly 30 people applied or showed interest in the job. But he says his firm, HYA Executive Search, reached out to more applicants during a national search.
Blaesing says all six finalists are based in the Midwest and have ties to Sioux Falls.
Officials don’t plan to name the candidates until a successor is chosen.
