Events Planned For National Park Week At South Dakota Sites

INTERIOR, S.D. (AP) — Several upcoming events are planned at National Park Service sites in South Dakota as part of National Park Week.

This year’s theme for events April 18-26 is “Find Your Park,” which is also the name of a campaign to mark next year’s centennial anniversary next year of the agency.

Several programs are available in the Black Hills and Badlands area, including a presentation April 18 at Mount Rushmore National Memorial on bats in the ecosystem; daily tours April 20-24 at the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site; and music by artist in residence Jill Haley at the Cedar Pass Campground Amphitheater at Badlands National Park on April 25.

Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monument are also part of the park service system in the state.
