MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) — Mitchell police officers who responded to what they thought was a possible bank robbery found a school tour instead.

Sgt. Dave Beintema tells The Daily Republic newspaper ( ) that students were on a tour of First Dakota National Bank on Tuesday when one of them apparently pushed the bank’s panic alarm inadvertently.

Beintema says the group of students found the whole incident amusing.
