Deadwood Casinos Preparing To Host Roulette, Craps In July
DEADWOOD, S.D. (AP) — Casinos in Deadwood are training their employees in preparation of a new law that takes effect this summer that will allow them to host craps and roulette.
The Black Hills Pioneer reports ( ) the Deadwood Gaming Association has been working with the state Commission on Gaming to create a program that brings all of the city’s gaming employees together for an intensive six-week training program.
Deadwood Gaming Association Executive Director Mike Rodman says the program ensures employees are learning proper game techniques, procedures and regulations for craps and roulette.
Two dealers from the Casino Dealers School of Colorado are hosting the training that runs through the month of May.
Training participants in the program must complete 120 hours of craps training or 60 hours of roulette training.
