The U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on Friday granted same-sex couples the right to marry, but in some states, including South Dakota, people can still be fired or denied housing for being gay.
State Sen. Angie Buhl O’Donnell says she thinks it’s important for the Legislature to revisit the issue. She says it could be challenging but says South Dakota has a history of making surprising decisions.
