State To Provide $11.5M For Sioux Falls Industrial Park

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The state of South Dakota is providing $11.5 million for a proposed industrial park northwest of Sioux Falls as part of an economic development initiative.

A state economic development board on Tuesday approved an $8.5 million loan for the industrial complex that will be located near Interstate 29 and Interstate 90.

Pat Costello is the commissioner of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. He says the state will provide an additional $3 million in funds.

The money will go toward the Sioux Falls Development Corporation’s purchase of land for the industrial park, which has a $19 million price tag.

Officials involved in the project are set to provide more details about the development Tuesday afternoon.
