Authorities Name Parkston Man Who Died In Fatal Car Crash
PARKSTON, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a Parkston man who was killed Friday in a car crash.
The Department of Public Safety says 52-year-old Paul Bader was riding his motorcycle was he was struck by a Buick Enclave that was attempting to pass a semi-truck. A 78-year-old man was driving the Buick.
Officials say the driver of the Buick first hit the motorcycle and then the semi about two miles north of Parkston. Bader died at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Buick were trapped in their car and had to be extricated. Both sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
Highway Patrol authorities are continuing to investigate.
