Davison County Commission Approves Increase In Wheel Tax

MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) — Davison County commissioners have unanimously approved an increase in the county wheel tax.

The Daily Republic reports ( ) that the move increases the tax from $2 per wheel to $5, and the maximum per vehicle from $8 to $60 by raising the maximum number of taxable wheels from 4 to 12.

Wheel taxes are used to raise money for roads and bridges.
