Flags To Be Flown At Half-staff In Honor Of Shooting Victims

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard has ordered that flags on state property be flown at half-staff to honor the five service members killed last week in Tennessee.

Daugaard’s order comes at the request of President Barack Obama.

The flags will remain at half-staff until sunset Saturday.

Four Marines and a sailor were killed Thursday in attacks on two military sites in Chattanooga, Tennessee, that authorities have blamed on a 24-year-old Kuwait-born man.
