Missing SD Prison Inmate Might Have Robbed 3 MN Banks
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say an inmate who walked away from a minimum-security prison in South Dakota might have robbed three banks in Minnesota.
Clint Eldeen was last seen leaving the minimum-security unit of the State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls on Friday night. He’s been named as a suspect in the robbery of a Bremer Bank early Saturday in Roseville, Minnesota, a St. Paul suburb.
Police in Richfield, Minnesota, tell the Argus Leader newspaper ( ) that a man who robbed two banks in that city Tuesday afternoon matched Eldeen’s description. Officers chased the suspect but lost him.
Eldeen was serving 20 years in prison for no-account checks. He was sentenced in 2000.
