Police: Teen Stabbed After Breaking Into Sioux Falls Home
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Police say a 17-year-old boy was stabbed at a Sioux Falls home that he entered during a home invasion.
Sgt. Michael Olson said in a news release that police got a call around 4 a.m. Sunday that several masked people armed with handguns were breaking into the home. Olson said residents barricaded themselves in a bedroom, and some intruders fled when they were told police were called.
According to Olson, the residents left the bedroom and fought with two intruders who were still there. One intruder was stabbed multiple times and dragged outside, and police got to the home shortly after that.
The Argus Leader ( ) reports the boy was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
