Second Suspect Pleads Not Guilty In Aberdeen Casino Robbery
ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — The second of two suspects in an armed robbery of an Aberdeen casino has pleaded not guilty.
The American News reports ( ) that Michael Washington on Wednesday requested a jury trial. A trial date was not immediately scheduled.
Washington and Roger Kihega are accused of stealing cash from Casino Korner at gunpoint in January.
Authorities say each of the men fired a shot in the air while robbing the business. No one was hurt.
Kihega pleaded not guilty in June and is to stand trial in mid-September. Both suspects are from Minnesota.
