Sioux Falls Man Allegedly Held Woman Against Will For Years
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A 35-year-old Sioux Falls man is facing charges for allegedly forcing a woman to prostitute herself for several years.
Michael Dickey is charged with first-degree human trafficking, two counts of domestic aggravated assault and domestic simple assault.
Authorities say Dickey held the 43-year-old woman against her will for several years.
He allegedly controlled her by injecting her with narcotics. The woman told police he forced her have sex more than 100 times since they moved to Sioux Falls several months ago.
Deputy Minnehaha County State’s Attorney Abby Roesler says Dickey would make all prostitution arrangements, reserving hotel rooms in the woman’s name or arranging for sex acts to be performed at his apartment.
Dickey is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
