4 Confirmed Dead In Fiery Head-on Crash On Interstate 90
ALEXANDRIA, S.D. (AP) — Four people are now confirmed dead after a fiery head-on crash on Interstate 90 near Alexandria.
The Highway Patrol says one of the vehicles involved in the crash about 4:30 p.m. Thursday was going the wrong way on the interstate. Authorities did not immediately determine which vehicle was at fault.
The patrol did not immediately identify the three males and one female who died. One male was in a pickup truck. The other victims were in the second vehicle, the make of which wasn’t immediately known. A second female in that vehicle suffered serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The crash brought traffic on the interstate to a standstill. Vehicles were diverted onto state Highway 38.
