Her last day with the city is Oct. 12.
The annual rally draws hundreds of thousands of people to western South Dakota’s Black Hills. It celebrated its 75th anniversary this summer.
City Manager Daniel Ainslie says Vasknetz has done an admirable job working through the challenges that the rally presents.
The city will begin searching for a new rally director in the coming weeks.
