Lennox Gunman’s Family Says ‘Our World Is Upside Down’
LENNOX, S.D. (AP) — Family members of a man identified by authorities as the gunman in a fatal workplace shooting in Lennox say the incident has turned their world upside down.
The Argus Leader reports ( ) Jeffrey DeZeeuw’s (dee-zee-OOZ’) sister Jackie Rippert issued a statement saying the family is “just as confused and going through all the same grief” as victims and their family members. She also says the victims and their families “are in our thoughts and prayers.

Authorities say DeZeeuw was a Sioux Falls truck driver who got into an argument Thursday with a supervisor at ProTec and fatally shot Jon Richter and wounded a woman before killing himself. Authorities say DeZeeuw injured another male worker who confronted him.
DeZeeuw’s family says in his obituary that he struggled with bipolar disorder.
