1 Killed, 3 Injured In Three-vehicle Crash Near Pierre

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say a Huron woman was killed and three others were injured in a three-vehicle crash near Pierre.

The Argus Leader ( ) reports 79-year-old Marcella Larsen died in the Friday night accident. She was a passenger in an SUV that nearly collided head-on with another vehicle driven by a teenager. The SUV then struck a third vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign.

Larsen was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the SUV and third vehicle were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The teen driver received treatment for minor injuries.
