Sioux Falls Police Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect At Apartment

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say they arrested a Sioux Falls man accused of robbing a bank at gunpoint following a brief standoff with police and SWAT teams Friday night.

Forty-five-year-old Rickey Starks is facing charges of first-degree robbery and three counts of aggravated assault.

Police say Starks entered the Dacotah Bank on East 10th Street on Thursday morning and demanded cash while holding a handgun.

Police say he was found Friday night and was eventually talked out of his apartment and taken into custody following a brief standoff.

The bank robbery was the first in Sioux Falls since 2012.

Starks is being held in the Minnehaha County Jail.
