Opponents Of New Sioux Falls Wal-Mart Store Sue City Again

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Opponents of a new Wal-Mart store are suing the city of Sioux Falls for a third time.

Voters in April 2014 approved rezoning land to make way for the 185,000-square-foot Wal-Mart Supercenter. But three people who owner property near the site claim the city isn’t properly following the permit process.

The city attorney’s office disputes that and says opponents of the store are “just repackaging the same arguments over and over again.”

Opponents have twice before sued the city without success.

The Argus Leader newspaper reports ( ) that Wal-Mart plans to break ground in the coming weeks.
