Rapid City Man Allegedly Admitted To Killing Cousin
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — A suspect in a fatal shooting in Rapid City allegedly told police he fired his gun after being threatened.
Twenty-two-year-old Charles Metcalf of Rapid City died early Monday after being shot multiple times. The 20-year-old suspect was arrested on drug and alcohol charges at the scene.
The Rapid City Journal ( ) says police reports show the suspect admitted to shooting Metcalf, his cousin, and also said he feared for his life because Metcalf had come at him with broken glass.
The suspect appeared in court Wednesday on the charges on which he was arrested, and his bond was set at $250,000. He was not immediately charged in the shooting.
