Sioux Falls Man Charged With Assault For Role In Fiery Crash
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A Sioux Falls man has been charged with aggravated assault for allegedly throwing objects at a car that crashed and burst into flames last month.
Authorities say 18-year-old Bailey Moulton started throwing things at a Honda Accord on May 12 that was driving 100 mph before it crashed into a Sioux Falls light pole and rolled. Moulton was the passenger in a Dodge Stratus that was chasing the Accord.
Police spokesman Sam Clemens says they believe the road rage incident started after the Honda didn’t immediately begin driving at a stop light, angering the people in the Dodge.
The 22-year-old man and 21-year-old woman in the Honda were flown to a Minneapolis hospital. They’re both still hospitalized.
The 16-year-old driver of the Dodge has not been charged.
