In the Know & in the Dark: September 12

IN THE KNOW: The new football field. Its nice not playing on carpet that was created in the 1980s.

IN THE DARK: The communication between the university and students during the e-mail switch this summer. Warnings please.

IN THE KNOW: Weather. It’s great having a mixture of summer and fall days. It sure makes the long walks on campus more bearable.

IN THE DARK: Weather. It’s been a hot summer and every yard in Vermilion looks browner than the next one. Crops outside the Vermilion area are not looking great either. A little more rain, please.

IN THE KNOW: The new sod and sidewalks on campus. It’s great to see green grass somewhere in Vermilion.  The sidewalks lead to easy access to buildings across campus.

IN THE DARK: The new sod and sidewalks on campus. The sidewalks do not need to be watered more than the grass. Some of those sprinklers like to hit more sidewalk than grass. Also for future projects, the fastest way from building A to building B is a straight line. Try to make sidewalks that go that direction.

IN THE KNOW: Denny T. Sanford donating $20 million over the next 20 years. Hopefully we will be watching USD basketball in a new stadium soon.

IN THE DARK: Freshmen. Yes everyone knows you’re new, but hopefully you figure out how things run at USD faster.
