Coyotes prepare for home opener

As the University of South Dakota football team prepares for this season’s home opener Saturday, Head Coach Joe Glenn urged Ribs, Rods, and Rock ‘n Roll goers to fill the DakotaDome in support of the Coyotes.

Glenn, Seniors Will Powell and Tom Marlette and the cheer and dance squads greeted the building crowd Friday evening at 7 p.m. for a pep rally to raise spirits for the game Saturday.

“We couldn’t be more excited,” Powell said after the rally. “We had a tough loss last week but it’s in the past. We’re moving forward and we’re ready to win this game.”

The Coyotes take on Colgate at 2 p.m., Saturday in the DakotaDome.
