Board of Regents approves USD projects

The Board of Regents approved two projects for the University of South Dakota at its Oct. 10 meeting.

Part of the BOR’s meeting was to discuss the 2013 Board-Sponsored Legislation. If approved, the legislation would go to the South Dakota Legislature in January for approval

USD requested to move two pieces of legislation. The first project USD proposed was to build a new soccer field. The USD Foundation owns 13.95 acres across from the marching band fields, where the soccer field would be located. The second project is a sports performance enhancement facility that will cost a total of $48.7 million. The facility would connect the DakotaDome and the proposed basketball arena.
