RANT: Communication is key

Dear Everybody,

I am writing today to express my frustration in the way we all use words to communicate. While I know language is sometimes troublesome and imperfect at best, we as Midwesterners are really quite awful at conveying to others what we really mean.

Case in point: passive aggressiveness. I know many of us, including myself quite often, tend toward passively attempting to get a point across, but please, let’s stop! Instead, let’s strive to let our words truly mean what we intend.

When we try harder to be honest in how we communicate with each other, life will become much, much simpler.
