The many shades of USD’s Red Tie Event

More than 600 people were expected to attend the University of South Dakota’s Red Tie Event Friday in the Muenster University Center. The evening event marked the public launch of USD’s Onward campaign, which has a goal of raising $250 million for the university.

Speakers at the event included notable USD graduates such as President James Abbott, South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard and Broadway star Cody Strand.

The women’s basketball team, which are Summit League champions, were on stage to reveal that the USD Foundation and Onward campaign have raised over $135 million.
