2 Dead, 2 Injured After Shooting SW Of Sioux Falls In Lennox

LENNOX, S.D. (AP) — The search for a gunman southwest of Sioux Falls in Lennox is over.

Authorities say two people have died and two others are injured.

Police say a gunman entered a Sioux Steel location called ProTech Thursday afternoon, shot two people and assaulted a third. One of the people shot was killed and the other is in critical condition. The assault victim is in serious condition. They were all ProTech employees.

Authorities say the gunman took off, and nearby businesses and schools were put on lockdown.

The body of a second person was found about 4 miles southwest of Lennox in a burning semitractor along a gravel road. Authorities would not say if that was the gunman.

Sioux Falls police are outside the house where they say the gunman lived.
