Fort Pierre Office Manager To Plead Guilty To Embezzlement
FORT PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The former office manager of the Fort Pierre Development Corporation has agreed to plead guilty to stealing money from her former employer.
Stanley County State’s Attorney Tom Maher says 58-year-old Joni Boub has accepted a plea agreement. KCCR-AM reports ( ) that Boub will plead guilty to one count of Grand Theft by Embezzlement and two counts of Forgery.
She was originally charged with 46 counts of forgery, which is one count for each check authorities say she forged.
Boub has also agreed to pay more than $38,000 in restitution to the corporation and the city of Fort Pierre.
She is set to plead guilty at an arraignment scheduled for March 10.
