Man Gets 15 Years In Underage Sex Trafficking Case
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — A 32-year-old man convicted of trying to pay for sex with underage girls has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.
Jerry Lane Golliher of Rapid City was among nine men arrested and federally indicted for commercial sex trafficking after responding to online ads offering sex with young girls. The undercover sting was part of a Division of Criminal Investigation sex trafficking operation during the 2013 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The Rapid City Journal ( ) reports Golliher negotiated a time and place to meet with an undercover agent posing as a 13-year-old girl. He agreed to pay $150 in exchange for sex.
Golliher was found guilty of commercial sex trafficking in October following a two-day trial.
